THE MISTS OF TIME
The mists of time envelop souls
Who through time’s portals suffer roles
From land to land and sea to sea,
Through incarnation’s history.
But in our evolution dear
We oft depend on bounded fear,
Instead of love and strength so true
That of our deeds we naught may rue.
And so may anxious gestures cease;
May all rely on wisdom’s peace —
And ever pray that all may bond
Throughout this world and worlds beyond.

The morning light
Awakens all the dormant buds,
Shining its grace upon the land;
Through all that may upon us be,
Life arises constantly
Through thick or thin,
As every turning of this Earth
Reminds us faithfully
That all goes forth,
And that God’s presence never wanes.
As every bud becomes a flower,
So too shall every tree continue reaching upward
Through every winter’s gloom
Until we see the spring’s new bloom,
As it is and always shall be.

(A WINTER'S POEM)
The leaves descend upon the cooling ground,
Covering and protecting the earth.
Following wind-swept thoughts of passing warmth,
A rainfall from a darkening cloud
Caresses the garden,
Preparing it for the coming Spring.
But the droplets fade,
The air becomes still,
And silvering frost emerges from the depths of the forest.
The last birds fly south,
Beckoned by the sun.
Come, O Winter,
My home of sparkling ice and contemplation:
Let me rest until my soul is clear.
